Valerie is a writer/editor with a passion for volunteer work and the written word. She holds a BA from ASU's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and worked as a reporter and magazine editor before establishing her book development and editing business. She has served as a publishing consultant, guest lecturer at ASU, and served on the board of the Society of Professional Journalists Valley of the Sun Chapter. She has volunteered and coordinated the Phoenix Art Museum's Art Masterpiece program and coordinated Phoenix's Wordmasters Challenge, an International Language Arts competition. She has volunteered with Valley Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Pets on Wheels in Scottsdale. She is a strong supporter of special-needs education and funding in Arizona.

For over 20 years, Michelle has helped small and fast-growing businesses design and implement scalable, sustainable, and efficient operating models that align people and processes to the vision and goals. Committed to improving the status quo, Michelle uses Lean and Agile techniques to create practical and efficient operating model solutions. Her experience leading strategic initiatives, cross-functional teams, and turnaround projects informs her pragmatic approach. After five corporate relocations, Michelle and her husband Rich arrived in Scottsdale, Arizona, and fell in love with the desert lifestyle. She enjoys off-the-beaten-path road trips, propagating agaves, yoga, and her rescued Australian Cattle Dogs.
